Langham Wine Estate Corallian Classic Cuvée NV
Citrus led, with mineral & saline notes, toasted brioche and butter
A pale gold colour with a stream of fine bubbles. The nose is clean and pronounced with complex layers of lemon zest and sweet jasmine flowers backed by toasted brioche and butter. The palate is structured and rich with bright layers of orchard fruit, lemon pith and a touch of salinity.
Corallian is Langham’s Chardonnay-dominant blend; 88% Chardonnay, 8% Pinot Noir and 4% Pinot Meunier. At disgorgement the wine received 1.5 g/L dosage and was aged for at least three months under cork.
All fruit for this wine was sourced from Langham’s single site in rural Dorset. The Crawthorne vineyard consists of 12 hectares planted to Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier and is located on a sheltered south facing slope at 80-100 metres above sea level. The soil consists of a shallow clay loam, containing flint, over deep Cretaceous chalk.
