Gusbourne Blanc de Noirs 2018

Dried candied fruits & violets on the nose; raspberry, red cherry, red apple palate

Seriously sophisticated – the Gusbourne Blanc de Noirs 2018 is deep and complex, rich and powerful. It is a wine that holds your attention. There is a real intensity and weight on the palate, but the balance is such that it remains delicate and neat on the refreshing and long, persistent finish. This vintage English Sparkling Wine is expressive on the nose with fine-tuned notes of dried candied fruits and violet flower. A minimum of 27 months lees ageing has given it a rounded mouthfeel and lush richness. If you want to experience the stratospheric heights that English Sparkling Wine can reach, this is for you. Gusbourne has 60 hectares at Gusbourne Estate in Kent and 30 hectares in West Sussex that are planted with the 3 classic varieties of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. The distinct terroir and exceptionally mild microclimates of the surroundings add their own depth and complexity to the wines, and Gusbourne aims to allow the combination of site, soil and hard work in the vines to reflect in every bottle.
