This is an elegant fizz made from whole bunch hand picked grapes. This was the original sparkling from the historic Denbies Wine Estate and has been the recipient of several major International Gold awards in the past years.
Greenfields spends a minimum of 3 years on lees prior to disgorgement. It is a classic Champagne blend of Pinot Noir (56%), Chardonnay (32%) and Pinot Meunier (12%). On the palate there are hints of strawberries and cream with a layer of brioche, generous with a persistent mousse and a long finish.
The vineyards of Denbies Estate are situated on the North Downs, in the town of Dorking, with its famous chalky soil, in a protected valley of south-facing slopes (AONB). A total of 265 acres out of the 700-acre estate have been planted to vine, commencing in 1986.
