Named after the Producer’s eldest son. In appearance, it is bright ruby red, with a perfumed nose of vanilla, leather, red berry, raspberry and strawberry. On the palate, one can detect the spicy vanilla from being lightly oaked, with soft but firm tannins. It is wonderfully ripe, displaying typical cool-climate Pinot Noir characters of cherry and raspberry. A long, fresh finish ensues. The wines come from the 400-acre estate in Kent of the Balfour-Lynns, enveloped in ancient oak woodland. To turn his dream into reality Balfour-Lynn was helped by Stephen Skelton MW using his extensive experience with English vineyards. In charge of the winemaking and the state of the art, winery is Owen Elias, UKVA winemaker of the year four times with a host of international and national awards to his name.
