This off-dry blend of Müller-Thurgau and Schonburger grapes opens with delicate, tropical fruit aromas. A crisp lime flavour leads to a slightly sweet green apple finish. We serve this wine as our house white wine in our Cambridge bar and it is a perennial customer favourite!
Initially planted in 1972, Chilford Hall occupies 20 acres of free draining “flinty” soil which overlays chalk. Since its first planting, the vineyard grew in size to cover more than 20 acres, comprised of 9 different vine varieties each chosen to perfectly match the climate and soil conditions of the estate. Sadly, the vineyard is not currently producing wine but we are fortunate to have some stocks from before production ceased.
