Saffron Grange Vineyard The Rebel Blanc de Gris 2023

This is Saffron Grange’s inaugural release featuring Pinot Gris which was first planted at their vineyard in 2018. This sparkling wine is a blend of 75% Pinot Gris and 25% Chardonnay. It is a young, vibrant and new expression in the Saffron Grange line up – a ‘rebel’ in their range! With vibrant aromatics, this wine has notes of citrus, lychees, ripe pear and honeydew melon with a hint of almond and spice on the finish.

Saffron Grange is a family-run vineyard on the outskirts of the historic market town of Saffron Walden in North-West Essex. Their land is on the same chalk seam as Champagne, and situated on a gentle south-facing slope. Together with the cool, dry climate, the conditions are perfect for growing the highest quality grapes – and the family are perfectionists about turning these into the highest quality sparkling wines.
