This traditional method English sparkling red is bursting with black cherry and blackberry fruit, lifted by soft bubbles and ends with a seductive, almost smoky finish. Serve lightly chilled. Grown-up and great fun in equal measure!
The first ½ acre at Halfpenny Green Wine Estate was planted in 1983 by the late farmer Martin Vickers. By 1991 a further 22 acres were added and today the vineyard totals almost 30 acres, making it one of the largest vineyards in the UK. Halfpenny Green Wine Estate is situated 250ft above sea level in well-sheltered south facing slopes, with sixteen different grape varieties thriving in its light, sandy free-draining soil.
