Lindisfarne Mead is a legend in a glass and perhaps the most popular mead in the UK. While it has a very pale appearance, the taste of Lindisfarne Mead yields a subtle acidity with a medium body of sweetness. It achieves a dry-sweet balance that gives this drink a refreshing taste.
Lindisfarne Mead is produced using traditional methods at St. Aidan’s winery on Holy Island of Lindisfarne.  It is believed that the tradition of brewing mead on Lindisfarne began during the time of the early Christian monks who inhabited the island’s renowned Lindisfarne Priory.
