Saffron Grange Vineyard Sparkling Rosé 2022
Wild strawberries and baked apricots followed by ripe peaches, cream and the richness of hazelnut
Saffron Grange’s ever-popular sparkling rosé returns! This wine is made from a blend of 55% Pinot Meunier and 45% Pinot Noir, aged for 18 months on its lees. The grapes were picked in October following a record-breaking hot summer. The result is a delicious sparkling wine packed with strawberries and an underlying hint of jamminess. The Sparkling Rosé is salmon pink in colour, with a vibrant mousse, and aromas of sumptuous wild strawberries and baked apricots followed by ripe peaches, cream and the richness of hazelnut on the palate.
Saffron Grange is a family-run vineyard on the outskirts of the historic market town of Saffron Walden in North-West Essex. Their land is on the same chalk seam as Champagne, and situated on a gentle south-facing slope. Together with the cool, dry climate, the conditions are perfect for growing the highest quality grapes – and the family are perfectionists about turning these into the highest quality sparkling wines.
