English Still Wines
Wayfarer Wines Pilgrims Way Pinot Gris 2021
Conference pear on the nose, citrus lime and crisp green apple
Showing great varietal style, with ripe conference pear on the nose, citrus lime, crisp green apple and a soupcon of brazil nut on the palate. The wine is made from grapes grown on the family run Wayfarer’s Vineyard, which is nestled intimately onto the Pilgrims Way in Kent. Importantly, it is created from still wine clones; this is not a sparkling reject, it was conceptualised as a still wine from the beginning, and it shows, beautifully. We think that this is a versatile white that can be enjoyed on hazy summer days, crisp autumnal evenings and for a pick-me-up on chilly winter’s afternoon.
