English and Welsh Mead

Lindisfarne Blod Mead and Cherry Wine

A fruit explosion!

This is Blod, one of a new range of meads inspired by the Viking heritage of Lindisfarne. Produced at St Aidan’s Winery on Holy Island, this mead is a ‘melomel’ ,fruited honey mead, created by combining Lindisfarne’s famous Original Mead with Lindisfarne Cherry Wine. The result is a fruity taste explosion, full of ripe cherry flavour. A good introduction to mead, or a new flavour for those already converted! Lindisfarne Mead is produced using traditional methods at St. Aidan’s winery on Holy Island of Lindisfarne. St. Aidan’s winery stands in the clear unpolluted atmosphere of this most beautiful island.
