Ark Wines Sol Riesling Pet Nat 2023

A rare English Riesling.

“Sol” is Ark’s burst of sunshine Pet Nat. A semi-sparkling 100% Riesling, crisp and refreshing with notes of sherbert, grapefruit, cloudy apples and a distinctive slatey minerality. Aged on the lees for 19 months before secondary bottle fermentation.

Unfiltered and unfined, may contain sediment.

First planted in 2019, Ark’s vineyard has now expanded to cover 6ha with just over 20,000 vines in the ground. The vineyard is north-south facing on a flat to gentle slope at an old chicken farm in the heart of the East Anglian Stour Valley. It sits at a 60-80 metre altitude and benefits from a gentle south-westerly Atlantic breeze, as well as the dry and sunny summers known to the region.
