This fruity dry wine strikes the perfect balance between a rich Alsatian Pinot Gris & the lighter Pinot Grigios of Northern Italy to create a beautifully fresh & flavourful wine. Loose Rein 2023 has aromas of ripe pear & white pepper with a silky palate generous in stone fruits. Gentle use of seasoned French oak adds hints flapjack enhancing the texture, leading into a long finish that invites another sip.
2023 was a year of significant & persistent rain but June & September saw lots of sunshine & record-breaking temperatures. This resulted in excellent flowering & fruit set & ideal ripening conditions prior to harvest. The vines at Yotes Court are still relatively young but produce consistent fruit creating a wine with exciting complexity enhanced by the gentle use of seasoned oak. Loosen the reins & enjoy a glass of this exceptional English wine.
Yotes Court is incredibly proud to be amongst the first to be awarded the Sustainable Wines of GB Certification Mark. Sustainability is important at Yotes Court because from ground to grape to glass, they want their customers to be confident that they are drinking wine from land that will remain fertile for generations to come.
