Black Chalk Classic 2022

Black Chalk Classic is always Chardonnay-led and this vintage is no exception; it has a wonderful precise fruit focus and the palate is textured and full. A small amount of malolactic fermentation on the base wines creates weight and richness, whilst still allowing the wine to retain a fresh edge that is a hallmark for Black Chalk wines. The Classic is aged for a minimum of 22 months on lees and post disgorgement, is held for 6 months on cork before being released.

Black Chalk is a wine proud of its English heritage, with roots firmly planted in the chalklands of southern England. Black Chalk was used by the old masters to sketch ideas onto canvas before painstakingly creating a masterpiece.
