Chapel Down Rosé NV

A delicate rosé petal pink in colour with a fine prolonged mousse, this wine won Best in Show in the 2024 Decanter World Wine Awards. A classic blend of Chardonnay (44%), Pinot Noir (40%), Pinot Meunier (11%) with the addition of Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir Précoce, this delicate rosé sparkling wine has aromas of redcurrant, strawberry and rosehip. The fruit is sourced from vineyards in Kent, Essex, Sussex and Dorset. Grapes are grown predominantly on single and double guyot pruning systems, on varied soils including, chalk, clay and loam soils. They must undergo cool fermentation in stainless steel followed by full malolactic fermentation, maturation on fine lees in tank for six months before bottling and an average of 18 months further ageing on lees in bottle.

Chapel Down is England’s largest wine producer. Based in the heart of the Garden of England, Chapel Down’s finest vineyards are primarily situated on the North Downs of Kent with a terroir very similar to that of Champagne. The Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Bacchus vines are grown on south facing chalk soils and benefit from a warm, maritime climate. Chapel Down also source high quality fruit from long-term partner vineyards across Kent, Sussex and Essex, resulting in balanced wines with unique flavour profiles.
