Crafted from a single, meticulously managed vineyard in Kent, Balfour’s Signature Pinot Noir 2022 is a testament to what’s possible in a standout English vintage. A blend of 91% Clone 828 and 9% Clone 777, hand-picked and aged in fine French oak, this wine is all about finesse, purity, and quiet confidence. Expect lifted aromas of cherry and cranberry, layered with rose petal and subtle oak spice. The palate is elegant yet structured, revealing red berry fruit, fine-grained tannins, and a long, mineral finish. Fermented with a classic Burgundian yeast and aged for nine months in Fontainbleau and Allier oak, the wine was then bottled under DIAM 5 cork and cellared for 18 months to ensure harmony and ageing potential.
