Halfpenny Green Wine Estate Penny Red 2024 Half Bottle
Ripe red & black fruits and long generous finish
Half bottle happiness! An off-dry blend of Rondo, Regent, Triomphe d’Alsace and Divico, this wine is fruit driven and and approachable, with aromas of blackcurrant and sweet spices. A complex red blend, with a well-rounded body, soft tannins and notes of blackcurrant, plum and forest fruits, giving way to a smooth, generous finish.
The first ½ acre at Halfpenny Green Wine Estate was planted in 1983 by the late farmer Martin Vickers. By 1991 a further 22 acres were added and today the vineyard totals almost 30 acres, making it one of the largest vineyards in the UK. Halfpenny Green Wine Estate is situated 250ft above sea level in well-sheltered south facing slopes, with sixteen different grape varieties thriving in its light, sandy free-draining soil.
