Halfpenny Green Wine Estate Penny Red 2024 Half Bottle
Ripe red & black fruits and long finish
Half bottle happiness! A medium dry blend of Rondo, Regent, Triomphe d’Alsace and Divico, this wine is fruit driven and and approachable, with aromas of blackcurrant and sweet spices. A complex red blend, with a well-rounded body, soft tannins and notes of blackcurrant, plum and forest fruits, giving way to a smooth, generous finish.
The first ½ acre at Halfpenny Green Wine Estate was planted in 1983 by farmer Martin Vickers. By 1991 a further 22 acres were added and today the vineyard totals almost 30 acres. Halfpenny Green Wine Estate is situated 250ft above sea level in well-sheltered south facing slopes, with light, sandy free-draining soil.
