Highweald Lake Street Chardonnay 2022
Aromas of peach and apricot with notes of lime blossom and cedar
Pale lemon-yellow, with aromas of peach and apricot and notes of lime blossom and cedar. Refreshing, balanced, smooth and mouth filling.
This limited production wine is made from a selection of the best Chardonnay grapes grown in Highweald’s Lake Street Vineyard in 2022. The juice was fermented and matured in seasoned French barriques for 12 months before being bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Highweald Wine Estate was established in 2016, with the planting of 120,000 vines in the beautiful Sussex High Weald, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Their first release in 2018 was awarded Best Wine in First Year of Production, as well as the English Sparkling Trophy and the Non-Vintage English Sparkling Trophy at the 2022 International Wine Challenge.
