Halfpenny Green Wine Estate Bacchus 2023
Lemon zest, orchard fruit & nettle with a refreshing acidity and lingering finish
This light bodied and elegant wine offers aromas of lemon, pear and apple, with flavours of lemon zest, apple, pear & nettle, refreshing acidity and a lingering finish. Serve chilled as an aperitif or with grilled fish, vegetable-based pasta & rich poultry dishes.
The first ½ acre at Halfpenny Green Wine Estate was planted in 1983 by the late farmer Martin Vickers. By 1991 a further 22 acres were added and today the vineyard totals almost 30 acres, making it one of the largest vineyards in the UK. Halfpenny Green Wine Estate is situated 250ft above sea level in well-sheltered south facing slopes, with sixteen different grape varieties thriving in its light, sandy free-draining soil.
