This light bodied and elegant wine offers aromas of lemon, pear and apple, with flavours of lemon zest, apple, pear & nettle, with refreshing acidity and a lingering finish. Serve chilled as an aperitif or with grilled fish, vegetable-based pasta & rich poultry dishes.
The first ½ acre at Halfpenny Green Wine Estate was planted in 1983 by Martin Vickers. By 1991 a further 22 acres were added and today the vineyard totals almost 30 acres. Halfpenny Green Wine Estate is situated 250ft above sea level in well-sheltered south facing slopes, with light, sandy free-draining soil.
