Shillingham Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2024
Aromatic and bright – soft green fruit, grassy and herbaceous
Shillingham Vineyard’s aromatic Sauvignon Blanc is a vibrant taste of English spring, offering bright notes of asparagus, mint, and citrus. The dry palate opens with soft green fruit before evolving into delightful grassy, herbaceous flavours.
Taking its name from the shillet stone that enriches their soils, Shillingham Vineyard lies just three miles from the open coast. Their south-facing slopes overlook the River Lynher, where salt and fresh water meet – creating an enviable microclimate that experts have likened to Eastern Tasmania.
Here, sunlight bounces off the water while persistent coastal breezes keep humidity low, naturally protecting our vines. The shillet- and loam-rich, free-draining soils dry quickly after Cornwall’s notorious rains, encouraging roots to grow deep and strong.
