A wine of ying and yang, red apple and blackcurrant combine with linear citrus and oyster shell
A wine that epitomises Balfour’s terrior-driven approach to winemaking. This wine is a blend of 23 individual pinot parcels, all grown on Balfour’s Hush Heath Estate, which are handpicked and pressed separately before blending. The result is a rich complex wine with notes of lime, tangerine and hazelnut. As with all Balfour’s vintage sparkling wines, the wine does not go through malolactic fermentation. The malic acid provides backbone and freshness to balance the ripe red fruit characteristics.
Hidden deep in the Garden of England, Balfour Hush Heath Estate comprises 400 acres of perfectly manicured vineyards, apple orchards and ancient oak woodlands rich with wildlife, flora and fauna.
