Soft tannins with strawberry and cherry flavours
Plenty of summer fruits, strawberry and red cherry to the fore, with great texture from its time in French oak, this Pinot Noir (which has 15% Rondo for added depth), combines the best characteristics of both the new world and classic wines. It is soft on the palate, with a rich ruby colour, and its good acidity levels make it a perfect match for rich foods.
Whitehall Farm has been in the same family for five generations, since 1894. Their history of growing and farming evolved into a desire to take on a new challenge, to produce English wines. Whitehall Vineyard was established in 2017 with the support of a small team of planters, who helped the family plant the vines one by one. The vineyard is based in the fertile soils of the Avon Valley, with a favourable aspect and an underlying bedrock of permeable limestone. This terroir is perfect for growing Rondo, Bacchus, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris, the basis of Whitehall’s wines.
