Stopham’s English Sparkling Wine spent 30 months on lees before disgorgement and has a lovely taste honeyed brioche with grapefruit and citrus. Stopham Estate Vineyard’s story began in 2007 when winemaker Simon Woodhead planted 21,000 vines on his sandy south-facing 15 acre estate, following the successful completion of a Viticulture course at Plumpton Agricultural College in East Sussex. Joined by Assistant Winemaker Tom Bartlett in 2010, just in time for the first vintage, the pair shared a common passion for English wine.
