The Simpsons vineyards occupy glorious positions on the sunny, sheltered slopes of the North Downs of Kent, protected from the whimsy of the English climate by ancient woodland and anchored in the iconic chalky soils so highly revered in the world of both still and sparkling wine. They the first vines in 2014 amid the pristine beauty of the Elham Valley. Located in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), their two vineyards set an alluring scene, looking out over gently undulating English countryside towards the distinctive copper-green spire of Barham Church. Their Chardonnay is in a classic Burgindian style and easily matches up to French equivalents with centuries more history. Ripe lemon and lime aromas merge with melon and white peach in a sublime combination.
