A blend of Pinot Noir, Acolon and Rondo grapes, the 2020 Barons Red is full of cherry and violet aromas with summer berries prevailing on the palate. 2020 was a top vintage for English reds, and this is great example. A subtle hint of oak adds length, structure & body to this fine English red. The perfect accompaniment to red meats and barbeques. New Hall was one of the pioneers that re-started the English wine industry in the second half of the twentieth century. In 1969 the first vines were planted at New Hall Farm by Bill and Sheila Greenwood: 850 Reichensteiner vines were purchased at auction at the cost of 23p each. New Hall continued to expand and innovate over the next 50 years, and, with significant recent investment in the vineyards and winery, are in the form of their lives.
