A blend of Pinot Noir Précoce, Acolon, Zweigelt and Rondo grapes, the 2021 Barons Lane Red is full of black cherry and violet aromas with bramble, red cherry and a hint of almond too. On the palate there are juicy dark fruits, blackcurrant leaf and a peppery note. The perfect accompaniment to red meats and barbeques. New Hall was one of the pioneers that re-started the English wine industry in the second half of the twentieth century. In 1969 the first vines were planted at New Hall Farm by Bill and Sheila Greenwood: 850 Reichensteiner vines were purchased at auction at the cost of 23p each. New Hall continued to expand and innovate over the next 50 years, and, with significant recent investment in the vineyards and winery, are in the form of their lives.
