Harrow & Hope Brut Reserve NV
Harrow & Hope’s signature blend has been created from all three classic grape varieties, led by the pure fruit and texture of Pinot Noir & Pinot Meunier and well supported by the finesse of Chardonnay. Their 4th Edition bottling is based on the truly great year of 2015, supported with 30% 2014 reserves, aged in old oak barriques. 2015 was a truly great year for Pinot Noir and this very much shines through in the blend. The reserves really help to soften this wine and add extra complexity.
a’Beckett’s Two Degrees West Chardonnay 2018
This wonderful Chardonnay builds upon the traits and characteristics of a’Becketts 2014 and 2016 but offers greater depth reflecting more mature vines and the great weather of 2018. Their 2018 Chardonnay is made from burgundy clone vines. The Langhams decided not to oak the wine as part of the wine making process and the results justify the decision. The wine has lovely nuances of peach, melon and honey and a slightly flinty backbone, with excellent balancing acidity.
Martin’s Lane Vineyard Pinot Noir Précoce 2016
“This Pinot Noir displays considerable concentration with a fine balance of fresh cranberry aromas and flavours around a core of ripe black cherry fruit together with a slightly spicy liquorice character. A classic Pinot Noir of great depth and intensity.” Neil Tully MW.
