Chilford Hall Three Tunns 2018

£14.95

10.0% ABV
Savoury, almost earthy, but with beautiful soft red fruit finish - light & lovely

Initially planted in 1972, the Chilford Hall vineyard is set out over 20 acres of free draining “flinty” soil which overlays chalk. In exceptional years, they produce still red wines – and 2018 was one such year. Their Three Tuns is pure Pinot Noir, light-bodied at only 10% (unchapitalised), almost Gamay Noir like. Alongside the typical red cherry and raspberry aromas, their is a savoury, almost earthy aroma to this wine, which on the palate dissolves into the sweet fruit. Best served slightly chilled, this is a great food wine.
