Brightwell Vineyard Oxford Regatta 2015

12.0% ABV
Black plum and raspberries with vanilla and cedar, and broad tannins

Brightwell Vineyard was first planted in the late 1980’s and acquired by its present owners in 2000. It covers 16 acres and grows 8 varieties of grape including Bacchus, Chardonnay, Huxelrebe, Dornfelder and Pinot Noir. The wines produced – white, rosé, red and sparkling – are made in the on-site winery employing natural, minimum intervention methods. A very clean, fully dry red wine, blended from Dornfelder grapes. A similar style to northern Italian red wines, it has a refreshing clarity and is redolent of English summer berries such as raspberry, cherries and damson and has a long finish. Oak barrel-aged, it has firm tannins.
