Jake’s Kentish Cider is made exclusively from Cox, Egremont Russet and Bramley apples grown on Hush Heath Estate. To maintain maximum freshness the apples are harvested by hand and travel directly from the orchards to the press. As with Hush Heath’s sparkling wines, each (apple) variety is fermented separately and brings a unique characteristic to the final cider blend. To guarantee the cider’s trademark clean, wine-like character, they use selected wine-yeasts for fermentation in the winery’s temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks. The result is a pure, crisp and refreshing craft cider reminiscent of fine sparkling wine! Cox adds delicate aromas. Egremont Russet provides body and richness to the blend. Bramley gives acidity and freshness that form the backbone of the cider.
