All Angels Sparkling Rosé 2014
A deep rosé, reflecting the summer berry flavour of this most popular sparkling wine, delicately balanced with subtle lasting bubbles. An unusual but successful blend of Rondo, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir, with plenty of lees ageing to add those lovely pastry notes that sit so harmoniously with the raspberry and redcurrant flavours.
The Darley family fell in love with the House at Enborne, Berkshire, its ponds, its ancient oak trees, its paddocks and views. Time, effort and money was spent engaging the foremost specialists to restore the House to its true beauty and integrity both inside and out. In 2010 a tentative approach was made to Vine Works. The survey of the land came as a pleasant surprise: great land and soil, great altitude and a perfect south facing slope. So work began. The brand is named after the local parish church of St. Michael and All Angels, which dates from at least the 12th century although some say has features that date it to much earlier times, possibly Saxon. The bell tower houses one of the oldest bells in the country.
