DESCRIPTION:Do you like wine but feel that it can sometimes seem a bit mysterious and that descriptions on the label aren’t always easy to understand? \nThis introduction to wine tasting session will answer many of your questions by guiding you through some of the key terminology and giving you a way of systematically tasting a wine – so that you are more confident in what it is about a particular wine that you like and have the language to describe it\, meaning you can purchase with more confidence. \nThis evening will absolutely not be pretentious and aims to make wine tasting fun and accessible. We’ll taste 6 delicious and diverse wines across the spectrum of white\, rosé and red. \nPlease note that crackers and bread will be provided as “palate cleansers” to help you reset your taste-buds between wines\, but no other food is included.

DESCRIPTION:Grape Britannia are delighted to welcome to our shop Linda Howard from Giffords Hall Vineyard in Suffolk. \nLinda will take attendees through Giffords Hall’s range of English Sparkling Wines and still English wines\, and tell the story of their vineyard and wine-making. It promises to be a fascinating and enjoyable evening. \nThe wine will be accompanied by small sharing platters of cheese and charcuterie. \nFurther background: Giffords Hall is a family owned vineyard planted on the site of an ancient glacial riverbed near Long Melford in Suffolk. Their sandy/clay soil produces quality grapes\, high in natural sugars and acids\, that lend themselves particularly well to both sparkling and dry\, aromatic still wines.The vineyard was planted around 25 years ago and the vines are now in their prime. Madeleine Angevine\, Bacchus\, Reichensteiner\, Rondo\, Pinot Noir\, (both Burgundian and Precoce)\, and Pinot Blanc\, all do well on this site.
